Don’t look away for Orbis
‘Don’t Look Away’ is an emotional, interactive web experience showing a boy seeing for the first time after eye surgery.
Using eye detection within the webcam, it demonstrates the importance of paying attention to our campaign message and shows how the simple act of ‘not looking away’ can dramatically improve a life. When the user looked away, the screen turned to darkness. But when the user made eye-contact with the screen, the darkness disappeared allowing users to see the world through the eyes of the young patient.
The project was creative directed by THE HIVE’s, Paul Suters. It received a Cannes Lion Finalist, FWA Site of the Day, and recognition at Google Creative Sandbox, among others.
