Martina Paukova BIO

Martina was born and raised in Slovakia. She studied Political Science and then moved to London where she studied illustration at Camberwell College of Arts. She has been living and working in Berlin for some years.

Strongly inspired by the shapes of post-modern design and in particular by the Memphis artistic current, her illustrations are characterized by distorted perspectives and extravagant colours. Her characters, often urban millennials, roam around the city jungle with puzzled expressions, sipping coffee around designer tables.

She works on editorial and commercial commissions for magazines and brands such as The New York Times, Wired, Vans, Converse, Ted, It’s Nice That, and many more.
