‘You’re stronger than you think’ for Gambling Help
Sadly, only between 8% and 17% of problem gamblers in NSW seek help, according to Gambling Help NSW.
Gambling Help attempted to break down the barriers of shame, denial and hopelessness by encouraging those with a problem to draw strength from their past achievements.
Set to Powderfinger’s iconic ‘These Days’ soundtrack, the TVC was also a strong example of positivity and empowerment.

The content part of the campaign featured actual family members directly encouraging a problem gambler in their life to find their inner strength and beat this addiction.
The Results
This successful ongoing initiative has so far resulted in a massive 270% increase in the take-up of Gambling Help’s range of self-help programs.
